Chennai Beach-Vellore local electric train - Arakkonam-Katpadi passenger train

The Chennai Beach to Vellore local fast electric train hit the rear of the Arakkonam to Katpadi passenger train at a point between Melpakkam and the Chitheri railway station near Arakkonam in Vellore district on 13th September 2011,9.30 PM.More than 10 people are feared killed in the accident and more than 50 passengers  are critically injured.
